Do you believe in ghosts? I think that usually implies you believe in something greater or otherworldly. We happen to be talking about ghosts at our Korean lessons, because why not. It’s always a mystery to me whether they are truly out there. I often wonder: what do they look like, and how much have the movies got it wrong and how much have they gotten correctly. Not that I want to see one. This is the very thing I want to stay a mystery.
I love listening to horror stories of people’s experiences but I hate watching horror movies. I think I like it better if I leave it to my imagination than actually having graphic images in my head to refer to. Personally, I believe they exist. Nothing’s wrong whether I believe in them or not, the world will still be as cruel and as beautiful as it can be. Problems in the world would still arise. People will still go on with their daily life. It won’t affect me because I know I cannot see nor feel any presence. Believing they are out there, though, allows for the thrill of the unknown.
One thing’s for sure though whether one believes or now. Ghosts can never harm us. People can.
