I finally got around to making a portfolio. To leave design University without a portfolio is just sad. I just never got around to it. It was always on the to-do list, but it never got crossed off. Today I’m almost finished and I was quite surprised at some of the things I’ve done. Both good and bad. Some of my early works were done without the pressure of knowing how to sew, therefore they were all just creative. I like that. Those were my favorite. Some of the early ones have a concept, but the execution could have been better. We were drilled to iterate our designs to find the best choice. I, actually, never knew how to utilize that skill. It was shown, but I never grasped it. Mostly because everytime I make iterations, I just come up with new ideas instead. I want to recreate those. They have potential to be great. Now that I have more sewing skills up my sleeve, I actually would like to see it reimagined a different way. how would I do it this time? How can I make it better? How can I make it more wearable on a day to day life? Im curious. Curious enough? Hopefully. I hate being stuck thinking but never getting the chance to do anything about it. Time to get moving.
